This course builds on the psychomotor, cognitive, literature review and communication skills that are necessary to develop in a career in surgery which are gained in previous clinical surgery courses. The course also provides opportunities for students to develop an ability to critically review the medical and scientific literature with a view to develop supportable, safe and competent clinical management for patients with surgical disease.
