In this unit of study students will focus on the use of literary and multimedia texts, including picture books and novels for developing critical literacies in children working at Stage three in primary school. Students will develop learning experiences that encourage students to read for enjoyment at the same time as developing their abilities to negotiate and discuss meanings (both verbal and visual) in a range of texts.
