This unit provides an introduction to Internal and General Medicine as it relates to the practice of clinical Oral Medicine. Students commence rotations through various medical and dental specialty clinics at Westmead Hospital including Head and Neck Radiation Oncology, Haematology (with emphasis on the care of patients undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplants), Dermatology, Immunology, Radiology/Nuclear Medicine, Respiratory Medicine; and Orofacial Pain.
